Week 23Monday 1st June 2009 We climbed up the Pachacuteq monument, we visited the Qoukancha museum and the Saint Domingo convent. After lunch we went to the Inca Museum. Then we took a flight to Lima and spent all evening at the airport waiting for our night flight to the States.
Tuesday 2nd June 2009 We spent all night in the plane and arrived in Los Angeles. We took a third flight to San Francisco and went on a trolley bus tour of the city. We saw lots of nice houses, cars and a limousine.
Wednesday 3rd June 2009 We took a bus to the port in San Francisco. We walked around the historical port to see the old sailing boats and tug boats. Then we took a cruise around the bay, under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz Island. Then we saw teh wild sea lions; they were fighting!
Thursday 4th June 2009 We drove to Yosemite. Then we went to the hotel and afterwards we visited the national park. We saw some very tall waterfalls and some great views of the valley.
Friday 5th June 2009 This morning it was raining so we did some maths. In the afternoon we went on a big 4 hour walk, it was very pretty. We saw hundreds of squirrels that were not scared at aall. When we passed near the waterfalls it rained.
Saturday 6th June 2009 We went to see a huge waterfall called Yosemite Fall. After lunch we hiked around really tall sequoia trees in Mariposa Grove. My favourite tree was Clothespeg Tree because we could walk through it's trunk. It poured down with rain and we were lucky to catch a bus back. Unfortunately there was no roof...!
Sunday 7th June 2009 We saw the 2 biggest trees in the world at Sequoia national Park. We drove through the trunk of a tree called Tunnel Log and saw some wild deer nearby. Then we drove toeards Death Valley and went to a hotel.
