Week 24Monday 8th June 2009 We drove 4 hours to Death Valley. It was very hot but our hotel had a pool. We took the car and saw a volcano, there was a lot of wind. Then we walked in a gorge, we saw some pretty stones.
Tuesday 9th June 2009 We took the car to do some walks. We saw a dried up lake called Badwater: it was full of salt. We walked up a canyon to see a natural rock arch, it was very hot. Then we went to the pool and played with daddy.
Wednesday 10th June 2009 We walked up Mosaic Canyon. The rocks were very pretty. Then we visited a ghost town where we saw two banks, a railway station and a bottle shop, but all were in ruins. In the afternon we arrived in Las Vegas: our hotel is a huge pyramid and next door there is a fairy castle! In the evening we saw Mystère, a Cirque du Soleil show. It was fantastic!
Thursday 11th June 2009 We took the car to go to a hotel called Paris. There's a huge copy of the Eiffel Tower and the Arche de Triomphe, as well as Paris streets. We also saw the Venetian Hotel with i t's canals and St. Marks Square. In the evening we saw a show called Tournament of the Kings: there were real horses in the show and we ate with our hands!!!
Friday 12th June 2009 We went to the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas to see lions in the Cat House. Then we went to pick up our campervan; it took a long time. We then had a five hour drive to Grand Canyon National Park. Saturday 13th June 2009 We went on a long walk on the South Rim of the canyon. The views were beautiful. We could see the Colorado River in the bottom of the canyon and people walking down to it.
Sunday 14th June 2009 We took a helicopter over the Grand Canyon; it was beautiful. The we drove 5 hours with a lot of stops. The prettiest stop was a walk of 20 minutes where we saw the Colorado River meander around in a horseshoe bend.
